Privacy policy
What personal data we collect, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated:
This privacy policy explains how Oseie (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal data when you visit oseie.com (the “Website”), contact us or become a client. We keep the data we collect to a minimum and never sell it.
1. Who is responsible
Oseie is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any question about your data or this policy, contact us at hello@oseie.com.
2. What data we collect
When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the information you choose to give us: usually your name, email address, the services you are interested in, your budget range and the content of your message, plus any attachments you send by email.
When you become a client
To deliver a project and invoice it, we may also process contact details of the people we work with, billing details, project communications and the access credentials you share with us for hosting, domains or other services.
When you browse the Website
Like almost every website, our hosting server automatically records technical information in log files when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, device, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These logs are used for security and to keep the Website running properly.
We do not use advertising trackers on the Website, and we do not run analytics that build a profile of you.
3. Cookies
The Website sets a single, strictly necessary session cookie. It protects the contact form against abuse and spam and is deleted when you close your browser. It does not track you across websites and does not require consent under most privacy laws.
4. Third-party resources
The Website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and basic browser information in order to deliver the font files. Google’s handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
5. How and why we use your data
- To answer your enquiry and discuss a possible project — based on your request and our legitimate interest in replying to it.
- To deliver our services, communicate during a project and send invoices — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.
- To keep the Website secure and prevent abuse — based on our legitimate interest in protecting it.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We only share it with service providers that help us run our business, and only as far as needed:
- our website hosting provider, which stores the Website and its server logs;
- our email provider, which delivers and stores our email;
- payment and accounting tools used to invoice clients;
- authorities, where we are legally required to.
These providers may be located outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards for the transfer of personal data.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 2 years after our last exchange, then deleted.
- Client records and project communications: for the duration of our relationship and for as long as needed to handle questions or claims afterwards.
- Invoices and accounting records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
- Server logs: kept for a short period by our hosting provider, then deleted automatically.
- Access credentials you share for a project: deleted when the project ends, unless you ask us to keep them for ongoing support.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@oseie.com. We will reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
9. Security
The Website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including strong passwords, two-factor authentication on our accounts and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously.
10. Children
The Website and our services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on the Website.
12. Contact
For any question or request about your personal data, email hello@oseie.com.
